Hello, Ortando once again. So far some views of the blog are happening and we can hope for dialogue at some point in the future. I have recently been discussing the nature of thought and consciousness with a colleague and am intrigued by the idea that "thoughts are something", therefor they possess properties, and it is arguable that thought appears to have properties similar to light. In other words it can be conceptualized that thought is light. Just as light can interact with matter, so too thoughts.
For AD/HD/LD individuals, perhaps it is a hopeful idea in that often such individuals desire to "change" to be more functional, and ultimately to self actualize. I find it delightful and interesting to consider that it may be possible to think one's way toward manifestation of one's hopes and dreams. This is really not a new idea of course. Faith for the religious is said to "be the substance of things hoped for". And what is faith but a belief, a grouping of thoughts. So can Faith manifest change? Perhaps easier said than manifested?
Yet, it is arguable that one has little to lose, but choosing to believe in possible change and little to gain to presume this is not possible. "The tree is known by its fruit." I am curious of the reader's experience and examples of say, individuals who live happy and fulfilling lives and whether or not they appear to practice this orientation to life and reality.
As always, my son and I look forward to your ideas. Rick
